Rudbeckia hirta 'Indian Summer' is a legendary, award-winning cultivar that has remained a landscape standard for decades due to its immense flower size and vigorous habit. An All-America Selections (AAS) winner, it produces massive blooms that can reach up to 6 to 9 inches in diameter, some of the largest in the species. The flowers feature a single or semi-double row of brilliant, golden-yellow ray petals surrounding a classic, dark chocolate-brown central cone. Reaching a stately height of 30 to 36 inches, it possesses a bold, upright architecture that makes it a premier choice for the back of the border or for creating high-impact mass plantings in larger commercial and residential spaces.
