Discovered by the renowned Viette family of Virginia, it offers a more controlled alternative to the species, reaching a mature height of only 12 to 15 inches. It produces a prolific display of classic, star-shaped flowers with bright golden-yellow petals surrounding a prominent, dark chocolate central cone. One of its most distinctive features is its foliage; the leaves are narrower than those of 'Goldsturm' and often take on attractive mahogany or purple tones in the autumn, extending the plant's seasonal interest well past the blooming period.
