Astilbe 'Happy Spirit' is an elegant perennial that brings a luminous quality to the shaded garden. This selection is a favorite for its pure white, feathery plumes that stand tall on showy, dark red-to-burgundy stems, creating a sophisticated "bicolor" effect. The airy flower spikes emerge in mid-to-late summer, rising above a dense mound of glossy, deeply serrated dark green foliage.
