FYRE WING™ SPINEL CORAL BELLS -

12-15 Inches Tall 6-12 Inches Wide--

Fyre Wing™ 'Spinel' Coral Bells represents a fascinating departure from traditional coral bell breeding, breaking the mold with its deeply cut, feathery foliage. Introduced by Terra Nova Nurseries, this cultivar showcases the expression of a rare lace-leaf gene, producing intricate, deeply divided leaves rather than the typical rounded or lobed habit. Its foliage exhibits a rich palette of deep purple-bronze flushed with subtle silver sheen and fiery red undertones. Reaching a neat, tight footprint of about 12-15 inches tall and 6-12 inches wide, 'Spinel' forms a plush, dense mound that maintains its textural integrity throughout the growing season. Because it is a shy bloomer, it rarely sends up tall floral spikes, allowing the plant to concentrate its energy entirely on crisp, low-maintenance leaf performance without the untidy look of fading flower scapes.

For ideal performance, site 'Spinel' in partial shade where it receives gentle morning sun or dappled light, though northern growers can push it into fuller sun if soil moisture is reliable. It thrives in rich, organic soil that drains freely; like most Heuchera, it prefers being slightly dry over sitting in wet, waterlogged roots which can lead to crown rot. Its compact, highly textured growth makes it an exceptional candidate for edging path borders, adding visual relief under open shrub canopies, or acting as a dramatic foliage anchor in mixed container plantings.
