Leucanthemum 'Real Charmer' is more commonly known as 'Real Charmer' Shasta Daisy. It is a sophisticated Shasta Daisy known for its multi-hued, frilly flowers that add texture and prolonged color to the garden. It is part of the disease-resistant Realflor® series.
The large, 3-inch, semi-double flowers exhibit a captivating color change: the outer petals are a creamy ivory that quickly mature to white, while the center is filled with smaller, brightly fringed, lemon-yellow petals surrounding a darker golden eye. This mingling of yellow and white gives the bloom a unique, vibrant look.
'Real Charmer' has a sturdy, upright, clumping habit, reaching a height of 18-24 inches with a spread of 12-18 inches. It boasts an extended bloom period, starting in early summer and continuing to rebloom through early fall with regular deadheading. It is hardy in USDA Zones 5-9 and thrives in full sun and well-drained soil. Like other Shasta Daisies, it's an excellent choice for cut flowers, borders, containers, and is attractive to butterflies. Its sturdy stems rarely need staking.
