FIRE CHIEF CORAL BELLS -
9-12 Inches Tall 12-18 Inches Wide--
Heuchera 'Fire Chief' is a celebrated Coral Bell in the Front & Center™ series and is known for its dynamic, season-long color and superior blooming performance. This compact perennial forms dense, mounded clumps of wine-red foliage that emerges a brilliant scarlet in spring before deepening to a handsome smoky-red or burgundy, maintaining its striking color throughout the year.
What truly sets 'Fire Chief' apart is its impressive floriferous nature, boasting a nearly non-stop display of petite, bi-colored pink and white bell-shaped flowers that rise on dark red stems from late spring well into fall. This outstanding combination of deep red leaves and vibrant, long-lasting blooms makes it an excellent choice for containers, border fronts, and mass plantings in partial shade, providing dramatic contrast and attracting hummingbirds.
Coral bells are a great low-maintenance perennial and are easy to take care of. They blend well with most perennials and have a low, mounding habit that is perfect for container gardens and tucked between other plants in a shaded garden.
Coral bells prefer partial shade and well-drained, moist rich soil. They do not tolerate clay or acidic soils. You can cut back their flower stalks in fall to direct energy into their foliage.
Heuchera x 'Fire Chief' PP21880
Light Requirements: Part Sun Shade
Color Attribute: purple foliage
US Hardiness Zone: 4
