Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Tempelhof' is commonly referred to as Tempelhof Cypress. It is a fast-growing, oval-shaped, multi-stemmed selection with golden yellow and green foliage that matures to bronze in winter. It is similar to Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Nana Gracilis' except for its foliage. It features scale-like sprays of foliage held on horizontal branches. The shaggy, reddish-brown bark is quite attractive and adds to its appeal.
Tempelhof Hinoki Cypress enjoys full to part sun in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils.
