It is an improved selection designed to offer a more lustrous and resilient version of the classic Midnight Wine®. Midnight Wine Shine® is distinguished by its extremely glossy, dark burgundy-purple foliage that resists the "browning out" or tattered appearance sometimes seen in older varieties during the height of summer. It maintains a low-growing, mounded habit, reaching roughly 18-24 inches in height and slightly wider in spread. In late spring, the deep foliage is complemented by a flush of bright pink, bell-shaped flowers that provide a vivid contrast and serve as a reliable nectar source for pollinators.
