Hydrangea quercifolia 'Snowflake' is commonly referred to as Snowflake Oakleaf Hydrangea. This beautiful, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub features large flower heads of double white blossoms. Distinct, deeply lobed, dark green, oak-like leaves turn an outstanding maroon in fall while the flowers turn an attractive purplish-pink as they dry.
Snowflake Oakleaf Hydrangea can grow to be 6-10 feet tall and wide. It thrives in dappled shade in organically rich, evenly moist, well-draining soils. It can adapt to full sun as long as it gets adequate moisture. It needs little pruning and is ideal near stream banks, in mixed borders or woodland settings.
