VIBURNUM PRUNIFOLIUM
Grower Notes:

Viburnum prunifolium is commonly referred to as Smooth Blackhaw, Blackhaw Viburnum, Nannyberry, Plum Leaf Viburnum or Stagbush. It is a large, native, deciduous shrub or small tree with a rounded, irregular crown. It can reach 12-15 feet tall and sometimes grows to 30 feet. It features white flower clusters followed by yellow berries that mature to bluish-black. Fruit is enjoyed by songbirds, gamebirds and mammals. Emerging copper leaves transition to dark green in summer, maturing to purple in fall.

Blackhaw Viburnum thrives in full to partial sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Best blooms come with some sun. It is ideal for naturalized areas and can be drought tolerant once established.
