Thuja 'x 'Steeplechase' PP16094 is commonly referred to as Steeplechase Arborvitae. This sport of the much larger Green Giant Arborvitae has a more dense, fuller habit with feathery foliage that grows more narrow and shorter than the Green Giant Arb. It is both heat and cold tolerant and resists heavy ice and snow loads.
Steeplechase Arborvitae thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for hedges, screens, and makes a great substitute for the Italian Cypress (Cupressus sempervirens).
