Thuja occidentalis 'Art Boe' PP22,174 is commonly referred to as North Pole® Arborvitae. It is a cross between Thuja occ. 'Wintergreen' and an unknown male parent. This Proven Winners® selection is a fast growing, strongly pyramidal evergreen with a very narrow habit. It is more narrow than the Emerald Green Arborvitae. It features dark green foliage with good color retention during the winter months and resists winter burn.
North Pole® Arborvitae is hardy and easy to care for. It thrives in full to partial sun in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. Pruning is not usually needed, but it may be shaped in summer if needed. This elegant selection is ideal as a specimen planting or for borders, privacy screen or windbreaks.
