Syringa vulgaris 'Alba' is commonly referred to as Common White Lilac. It is an old fashioned, hardy, vigorous deciduous shrub with sweetly fragrant, white panicle flowers through spring. Dark green foliage with an upright, vase-shaped habit makes it ideal as a hedge or screen.
Alba Lilac is very cold hardy and thrives in full sun in rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for borders, foundations or any sunny spot where you can smell its sweet aroma.
