Syringa reticulata 'Ivory Silk' is commonly referred to as Ivory Silk Japanese Tree Lilac. This particular variety of Lilac tree displays a more oval to rounded crown than 'Ivory Pillar'. Its large panicles of fragrant ivory-white flowers are produced with abundance in early summer providing food for bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Dense, dark green foliage remains attractive through the summer with reddish-brown exfoliating bark adding to its interest.

Ivory Silk Japanese Tree Lilac is drought resistance once established. If pruning is needed, do so immediately after flowering. This is an easy care and low maintenance Lilac tree that thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can tolerate light shade but flowers best in the sun. It is ideal for foundation plantings or as a specimen.
