Rosa 'Oso Easy® Urban Legend' is a powerhouse landscape shrub that delivers an intense punch of color with virtually no effort. It produces prolific clusters of semi-double, true-red flowers, each centered with a bright crown of yellow stamens that creates a high-contrast, glowing effect. Reaching a uniform height and spread of 2 to 3 feet, 'Oso Easy® Urban Legend' maintains a naturally rounded, bushy habit that never looks leggy. It is a premier choice for adding a "stop-light" red accent to foundation plantings, low hedges, or vibrant mass groupings where consistent, season-long color is the goal.
What truly sets 'Urban Legend' apart is its incredible "iron-clad" constitution and award-winning disease resistance. The foliage is a thick, leathery, and dark green that stays remarkably clean and free of black spot or mildew even in the most humid conditions. It is a "self-cleaning" rose, so there is no need for deadheading to keep the red blooms coming from early summer straight through until the first hard frost. For maintenance, a simple pruning in early spring to about half its height is all that is required to stimulate a fresh, vigorous flush of its signature scarlet blossoms.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with at least 6 hours of direct sunlight. Ensure soil is well-draining. Water at the base (avoid getting leaves wet) to prevent fungal diseases. Prune in early spring. These are 'low-maintenance' roses. You can prune individually to shape, or, for large-scale mass plantings, you can use power shears to trim them back by one-third to encourage a flush of new, vigorous growth and continuous blooms.
