Grower Notes:

Commonly referred to as the Red Oak. This stately deciduous tree has a rounded and broad-spreading often irregular crown.

It typically grows at a moderately fast rate and has dark green foliage that turns deep red in autumn. Fruits are acorns which fall in September and October.

Note that a steady supply of acorns may not occur before this tree reaches 40 years old.
