QUERCUS BICOLOR
Grower Notes:

This long-lived oak, commonly referred to as the Swamp White Oak, is a medium sized, long-lived deciduous tree with a broad, rounded crown and a short trunk.

Foliage is dark green with wavy margins. Fall color is yellow, but sometimes reddish purple. Fruits are acorns which mature in early fall. Good drought resistance, but thrives in low areas and moist conditions including at the edge of swamps. Prefers acidic soil. Perhaps the most adaptable of all the oaks.
