PRUNUS SER KWANZAN
Grower Notes:

Also known as 'Kanzan', 'Sekiyama' or 'Sekizan', this stunning deciduous, vase-shaped Japanese Flowering Cherry has large double pink flowers, each with 20-30 petals, in clusters of 2-5" in April.

This spectacular tree was gifted to Washington D.C. from the people of Japan in 1921 and planted near the East Potomac Park area. It is considered to be one of the most ornamental of the flowering cherries.
