The Montmorency Cherry is a self-fertile, very hardy, early blooming variety that produces tart, medium sized fruit. It can reach a mature height of 20 feet tall with an equal spread.
Montmorency Cherry thrives in full sun in moist, fertile, well-drained soils. It is noted for its surplus of cherries with mild cherry flavor that are excellent for pies, jams and cobblers.
