BELLA SOL™ WHITE CINQUEFOIL

Potentilla fruticosa 'Hachdon' PP27685 is commonly referred to as Bella Sol™ Potentilla or Bella Sol™ Cinquefoil. It is a cold hardy, compact sister of Potentilla 'Bellissima. It features ferny, finely cut foliage that is deer resistant. It produces masses of sunset rich, yellow-orange flowers from spring through summer which attract butterflies, bees and other beneficial pollinators.

Bella Sol™ Cinquefoil thrives in dappled sun with evenly moist, well-drained soil. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is ideal for small garden spaces.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in average, well-draining soil, selecting a location that receives full sun to light shade. While these shrubs are incredibly durable and heat-tolerant, they perform best and maintain the most prolific bloom production when grown in full sun. Ensure consistent water during the first season of establishment to support root development, though they become highly drought-tolerant once fully settled. Prune in late winter or early spring to remove dead wood and encourage a compact, dense habit. These shrubs can become leggy over time, so cutting them back periodically helps maintain their vigor and shape. Apply a layer of organic mulch around the root zone to conserve moisture and suppress weeds, taking care to keep the material a few inches away from the crown to prevent stem rot.
