Juniperus chinensis 'Blaauw' is commonly referred to as Blaauw Juniper. It features a vigorous, compact, upright, vase-shaped evergreen habit with dense blue-green foliage along the ascending main branches. It holds its color well year-round. It is noteworthy for its salt tolerance and can be planted in the coastal areas as it can withstand salt winds.
Blaauw Juniper is deer and pest resistant and thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It can be drought tolerant once it is established. It is ideal as a tall hedge or privacy screen.
