HYDRANGEA QUE ELLEN HUFF
Grower Notes:
Hydrangea quercifolia 'Ellen Huff' is commonly known as Ellen Huff Oakleaf Hydrangea. This unique oakleaf hydrangea is noteworthy for it being more wide spreading than other cultivars. Creamy white, fragrant, semi-arching, panicle blooms in summer (6-12 inches long!) turn attractive pinkish yellow through fall. Flowers extend into fall just when its large, oak-like, deeply lobed leaves turn burgundy red. This hydrangea offers beauty throughout the year. With its striking flowers in summer, vibrant fall foliage, and interesting exfoliating red bark in winter, Ellen Huff Hydrangea adds interest to your garden year-round.
Ellen Huff Oakleaf Hydrangea thrives in full sun to partial shade in organically rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. This multi-season deciduous shrub is ideal as an accent or foundation planting and also grouped in shrub borders along open woodland areas.
