HIBISCUS SYR DOUBLE LAVENDER
Grower Notes:
Hibiscus syriacus 'Double Lavender' is commonly referred to as Double Lavender Rose of Sharon or Double Lavender Flowering Althea. This old-fashioned beauty is a dense, bushy upright deciduous ornamental shrub or small tree featuring lavender flowers up to 6" in diameter which cover the flowering shrub from midsummer to frost. It is easy to grow and hummingbirds and butterflies love them!
Double Lavender Rose of Sharon is pest and disease resistant and thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. They can be drought tolerant once they are established. A nice bonus of Hibiscus syriacus cultivars is the ability to manipulate them into a tree shape for a more formal architectural feature.
