Vanilla Spice® Clethra alnifolia 'Caleb' PP21589 is commonly referred to as Vanilla Spice® Summersweet. It features large, fragrant, white summertime flowers that are deer-resistant and attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Individual florets are about double the size of other varieties!
Vanilla Spice® Summersweet enjoys full sun to part shade with acidic, moist, fertile soils. It can bloom in shade, but do not let the soil dry out. It is ideal for woodland areas, along streams and ponds and other naturalized, low-lying areas that stay moist.
