Chamaecyparis obtusa 'Fernspray Gold' is commonly referred to as Fernspray Gold Hinoki Falsecypress. It is a slow-growing, compact, upright conifer with arching horizontal branches of attractive golden green scale-like foliage with rich golden yellow at the tips.
The Fernspray Gold Hinoki Falsecypress enjoys moist, well, drained soils in part shade as it will burn in full sun. It is ideal as a specimen plant, gardens and rock gardens.
