Cedrus libanitica subsp. 'Stenocoma' is commonly referred to as Stenocoma Cedar of Lebanon or Stenocoma Lebanese Cedar. This large, dark green, needled evergreen conifer is from mountainous southwest Turkey and has a pyramidal form when young to a flat-topped form when mature. It has better winter hardiness than other forms of cedar of Lebanon which makes it useful for northern climates. Over time, it will develop a massive trunk with sprawling, horizonal branches.

Stenocoma Lebanese Cedar is a unique specimen that is very hardy and deer resistant. It thrives in full sun in organically rich, evenly moist, well-drained soils. This stately tree will require a special plot of land away from homes to host this majestic giant.
