BERBERIS THU NANA SELECT
Grower Notes:
Berberis thunbergii 'Atropurpurea Nana' is commonly referred to as the Atropurpurea Nana Japanese Barberry or the Nana Japanese Barberry. It is a popular, dwarf barberry with small, reddish purple leaves that turn vibrant red in fall. Small, pale yellow flowers in late spring are followed by bright red berries in fall. The birds love them and they extend add a nice winter interest.
Atropurpurea Nana Barberry enjoys full to part sun in average, well-drained soils. It does not like soggy or wet soils. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is ideal for beds, borders, screens and rock garden plantings.
