Berberis thunbergii 'Bailanna' is commonly referred to as Moscato™ Barberry. It is a low spreading, mounding, multi-stemmed, deciduous shrub with emerging lime green foliage with orange and peach highlights that fade to green in summer. It can be used as a substitute for boxwood in colder climates. Moscato™ is deer resistant and drought tolerant once established.
The Moscato Barberry is a First Editions® plant that is low maintenance, can be pruned anytime, and fits easily in smaller spaces. It thrives in full sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils. Great for small gardens and even outdoor decorative containers.
