Berberis thunbergii 'Admiration' is commonly referred to as Admiration Japanese Barberry. It is a compact, dwarf, deciduous, slow-growing shrub with bright orange-red leaves with yellow margins. Outstanding color through summer and fall. It is an adaptable shrub which can grow in tight spots.
The Admiration Japanese Barberry is tolerant of slightly moist soils as long as they are well-drained - It will not tolerate standing water. Admiration enjoys full to part sun and is ideal for foundation or border plantings. Best color comes in full sun.
