Azalea x 'Hino-Crimson' is commonly referred to as Hino-Crimson Azalea. It is a Kurume semi-evergreen hybrid which thrives in cold climates. It features single, crimson flowers that appear early in spring and continue through to summer. Its color will take your breath away! It is a cross Rhododendron Kurume x 'Hino-Crimson'. It has small, elliptic, olive-green foliage which is very showy. It turns a lovely bronze in fall and is held through winter.

Hino-Crimson Azalea is one of the hardiest semi-dwarf evergreen Azaleas and thrives in part shade in rich, acidic, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal as a low hedge, or in mass plantings. It will thrive on the shady side of building or home or along woodland margins.
