OHIO BUCKEYE
The Ohio Buckeye is a native, low-branched, medium sized deciduous shade tree with large yellow-green panicle flowers in spring. Flowers are followed by the ever popular buckeye fruit encased in a leathery, light brown husk covered with warty spines. When ripe, each buckeye nut turns a shiny, dark mahogany brown with a tan eye.
Ohio is known as the Buckeye State and these nuts are a valued commodity during all of our local sport match-ups!

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with well-draining soil and full sun to partial shade.
