Grower Notes:

Acer palmatum 'Oshio Beni' is commonly referred to as Oshio Beni Japanese Maple. It is a beautiful deciduous small tree that only reaches about 15 feet tall with a 12 foot spread. It features emerging bright orange-red foliage in spring that fades to bronzy red-green in summer. Come fall, the colors turn bright scarlet (Oshio beni translates to 'Large Red Tide'). Small reddish-purple flowers are followed by samaras that ripen in September and October.

Oshio Beni Japanese Maple thrives in full to partial sun in organically rich, slightly acidic, well-drained soils. It southern parts, it prefers some afternoon shade.
