The Hedge Maple, also known as Field Maple, is an easy-care deciduous, broadleaf tree that is low-branched with a rounded habit. It is well adapted to poor, dry sites and can be used under utility lines. It is easy to transplant due to its shallow root system. It can be sheared to form a tall hedge for privacy. Acer campestre thrives in full or part sun in well-drained soil. Fall color is yellow.
