JUNIPERUS HOR BLUE CHIP
Grower Notes:

Juniperus horizontalis 'Blue Chip' is commonly referred to as Blue Chip Juniper. It is a sprawling, prostrate, low-growing evergreen shrub with a mounding habit of soft and scale-like bright steel blue needles through the growing season, and acquiring purple tips in winter. It will grow along the ground without rooting. Dark blue berries (fleshy seed cones) may develop in approximately two years.

Blue Rug Creeping Juniper is tough and thrives in full sun in average, rocky, sandy, well-drained soils. It does not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once established. It is tolerant of urban pollution and can thrive in city environments. Blue Chip Juniper is ideal creeping Juniper for groundcovers, rock gardens, slopes, walls, and foundation plantings.
