Taxus media 'Wardii' is commonly referred to as Wardii Yew or Ward's Yew. It is a versatile, low-growing, wide-spreading evergreen shrub with a flattened top with linear, pointed, dark green needled foliage that have good color retention throughout the year. This slow-growing, dwarf Yew displays showy red drupes from early to late fall and forms a flattened top as it grows.
Wardii Yew thrives in both sun and shade in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate standing water - good drainage is a must. It is tolerate of drought conditions once established. It will tolerate urban pollution and will thrive in city environments.
