Cephalotaxus harringtonia 'Fastigiata' is commonly referred to as Upright Japanese Plum Yew. It thrives in Southern gardens and features a unique, upright vertical growth habit. It has dark green needle-like textured foliage with needles up to two inches long. It is slow growing and deer resistant.
Fastigiata Plum Yew thrives in morning sun with afternoon shade. It enjoys fertile, rich, evenly moist soils. It responds well to pruning into a column or other shapes. They are reliably winter-hardy only to Zone 6.
