GROWER NOTES: >
Juniperus horizontalis 'Limeglow' is commonly referred to as Limeglow Juniper or Creeping Juniper. It is a dwarf, slow-growing, creeping juniper with a spreading, vase-shaped habit that is quite tolerant of hot, dry conditions. Its bright chartreuse, feathery, scale-like foliage does not fade even in hot summers. In winter, the foliage turns shades of bronze, orange and purple.
Limeglow Juniper thrives in full sun in average, sandy, well-drained soils. It does not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once established and rocky sites are not a problem for this plant. It can tolerate urban pollution and thrive in city environments. It is ideal in rock gardens cascading over rocks, as a groundcover or foundation plant.
