Juniperus communis 'Gold Cone' is commonly referred to as Gold Cone Juniper or Common Juniper. It is a slow-growing, upright columnar Juniper whose new growth emerges bright gold in spring with good color retention throughout the summer and early fall. Its golden foliage gradually fades to bluish-green in winter.
Gold Cone Juniper is easy to grow and thrives in full sun in average, sandy, well-drained soils. It does not tolerate standing water. It can be drought tolerant once established. Gold Cone is ideal for foundation, accent, specimen, or container plantings.
