GROWER NOTES: >
Spiraea x bumalda 'Anthony Waterer' is commonly referred to as Anthony Waterer Japanese Spirea. This dwarf, mounding, deciduous flowering shrub features rose-pink flat-topped blooms from spring through summer that attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators. Reddish-purple leaves in spring transition to blue-green in summer and mature to yellow and reddish-purple in fall.
Anthony Waterer Spirea is deer resistant and easy to grow. It flowers on new wood so any pruning should be in late winter to early spring. It thrives in full sun in average, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is ideal for borders, foundations and sunny cottage gardens.
