Ligustrum vicaryi is commonly referred to as Vicary Golden Privet. It is an upright, deciduous, fast-growing, sterile hybrid shrub. Its bright gold leaves turn purple tones in fall. It produces sprays of small, white flowers that attract bees, butterflies and other beneficial pollinators.
Vicary Golden Privet is deer resistant and very hardy and thrives in full sun to partial shade in average, well-drained soils. More color comes from more sun! It is perfect as a hedge, border, or accent plant.
