GROWER NOTES: >
The Cherokee Brave™ flowering dogwood is a deciduous flowering tree that grows approximately 30 feet tall and wide. It is noteworthy for its vigor and better drought resistance than most flowering dogwoods. It has reddish-pink flowers with white centers in mid to late spring. Leaves appear dark red and mature to green in the summer months. Fall brings shades of red and bright red fruit prized by wildlife. Shows good resistance to mildew.
