Prunus laurocerasus 'Jong2' PP29,890 is also known as the Greenfinity™ Cherrylaurel, Greenfinity™ Cherry Laurel and the Greenfinity™ Skip Laurel. It is an evergreen shrub with a rounded, compact habit and showy dense, leathery green leaves. New leaves emerge bright green with hints of bronze that mature to a darker green through the summer. Fragrant white flower spikes appear in spring and small, black fruit follow towards the end of summer.
The Greenfinity™ Cherry Laurel is tolerant of alkaline soils and urban environments. It has a rapid growth rate so prune to help keep its shape. This evergreen shrub prefers a shadier environment or dappled sunlight and works very well as a screen or privacy hedge.
