Zone: 4SKYLANDS ORIENTAL SPRUCE
Picea orientalis 'Skylands' is commonly known as the Skylands Oriental Spruce. It is a slow-growing, upright, conical-pyramidal evergreen conifer with bright yellow exterior needles when in full sun and more green in less sun. Interior needles are more subtle green-yellow which creates a frosted, highlighted look. Red cones appear in spring and are showy up against the yellow needles.
Skylands Oriental Spruce thrives in full sun in evenly moist, well-drained soils.

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in well-draining soil with a slightly acidic pH. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering. Mulch around the base to retain moisture and suppress weeds. Fertilize annually with a balanced, slow-release fertilizer. Prune in late winter or early spring to maintain shape and promote healthy growth.
