BLUSHING BRIDE ROSE OF SHARON
Hibiscus syriacus 'Blushing Bride' is commonly referred to as Blushing Bride Rose of Sharon or Blushing Bride Althea. It is a vigorous, upright, multi-stemmed flowering shrub that is noteworthy for its large double, soft pink flowers. Green foliage complement the blooms from midsummer through fall.
Blushing Bride Rose of Sharon is heat and drought tolerant and thrives in full to partial sun in rich, fertile, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It is a showy specimen plant and also can be used along borders. A nice bonus of Hibiscus syriacus cultivars is the ability to manipulate them into a tree shape for a more formal architectural feature.
