CURRY PLANT
Helichrysum italicum, commonly known as the Curry Plant, is a unique plant that captivates the senses with its distinct, spicy aroma. While it is native to the sunny, rocky cliffs of Southern Europe and Turkey, it is frequently grown as a tender perennial (hardy in zones 7-10) or a seasonal annual in cooler climates. Curry Plant features slender, needle-like silvery-gray foliage that looks remarkably like lavender but emits a powerful scent of curry powder, especially after a summer rain. In mid-to-late summer, it produces small, dome-shaped clusters of vibrant lemon-yellow flowers that are "everlasting," meaning they retain their color and shape beautifully when dried for arrangements.
