Exochorda x macrantha 'The Bride' is commonly referred to as The Bride Pearl Bush. It is a tough, dense shrub with clusters of pearl-like buds that open to large, bridal-white flowers in April and May. It has a compact form, maturing to only 3-4 feet tall and wide. Oblong, pale green leaves turn yellow in fall.
The Bride Pearl Bush thrives in full sun in rich, acidic, loamy, well-drained soils. It is ideal for smaller gardens and shrub borders. It would like fantastic blooming alongside Forsythia in early spring.
