ST GREGORY HEDGE MAPLE

Acer campestre 'St. Gregory' is more commonly referred to as St. Gregory Hedge Maple. It is a small to medium sized deciduous tree that is noteworthy for its ability to form a showy hedge due to its dense, compact habit. Foliage emerges bright green, turning yellow in the fall. It has small inconspicuous flowers in spring and small winged fruits in fall.

St. Gregory Hedge Maple thrives in full sun in nutrient-rich, evenly moist, well-drained soil.

Planting Tips

To help this plant settle in and thrive, we recommend these standard planting practices: Plant in a location with full sun and well-draining soil, and avoid planting in areas with standing water. Water regularly, but avoid overwatering, which can lead to root rot. Fertilize in early spring with a balanced fertilizer.
