SPRING FUNDRAISING - How It Works

Customer Checks

Customer checks should all be made payable to the sales organization and not to Acorn Farms. The sales organization will write one check to Acorn Farms.

When Your Plants Arrive

Your plants will be delivered to a central location on a predetermined date and time. Please call and schedule this time in advance as dates and times fill quickly. When your plants arrive they should be separated by a letter code for ease of inventory and distribution. The person in charge of the sales should inventory the delivery for accuracy. It is important to check the delivery as the selling organization is responsible for all plant discrepancies after the delivery.

Once the delivery is checked in, then and only then, should plants be released to the appropriate salesperson or customer. Care should be taken to ensure accurate distribution of the merchandise. Acorn Farms will not be responsible for mistakes in distribution or damages to plants caused by improper handling.

Time is of the essence when delivering your plant material. All plants will be watered the day of delivery and should be delivered to your customers as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of the fundraising organization or sales people to provide water to their plants to assure they do not dry out while they are holding them for extended lengths of time.

Possible Substitutions

Due to circumstances beyond our control we reserve the right to substitute varieties as needed. Every effort will be made to fill all orders. Any changes or substitution will be communicated to the chairperson of the sales organization for their approval.

Customer Inquiries

All customer inquires should be directed to the sales organization chairperson. We will get back to you in short order to answer any and all questions you may have.

Winter Fundraiser

Winter Fundraising with Poinsettias and Succulents

WINTER FUNDRAISING - How it Works

Deck your halls, house, and offices with pretty poinsettias and succulents!

Poinsettias and succulents make the perfect gift for Christmas and we make it simple to sell them!

What are the deadlines for a winter fundraiser?

  1. Schedule your event by at least 4-6 weeks before your pick up/delivery date.
  2. Run the sale for no more than two weeks with total sales due December 1st for processing.
  3. Schedule your delivery/pick up by December 15.

What about delivery? How do we handle receiving the plants?

  1. Your plants are delivered to the destination of your choice that provides heat and shelter from the weather.
  2. Sort the plants by category and verify the packing list.
  3. Sign the packing list and remit your amount due to the driver.
  4. Do not remove the protective plastic sleeves from your plants until they reach their final destination.
  5. Only release plants to your customers after the entire shipment has been verified. Acorn Farms will not be responsible for mistakes in distribution or damages to plants caused by improper handling.

Can we customize the order form to suit our organization?

Yes. We can add your organization's banner and logo to the form to reflect your organization's character.

How do we pay? What about our customers?

Customer checks should all be made payable to the sales organization and not to Acorn Farms. The sale organizer will write one check to Acorn Farms at the time of your plant delivery.

We did not get the plants we ordered, now what?

In the event of circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to substitute varieties as needed. Every effort will be made to fill all orders and any changes or substitutions will be communicated to the sale organizer.

How long can we hold the plants? What about cold?

Time is of the essence when delivering your plant material. All plants will be watered the day of delivery and should be delivered to your customers as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of the fundraising organization to provide water to their plants to assure they do not dry out. Poinsettias are sensitive to cold so do not allow them to stand in an unheated environment. Do not leave them in an unheated car while shopping.

Our customers and sales people have questions we can't answer?
