SPRING FUNDRAISING - How It Works
Customer ChecksCustomer checks should all be made payable to the sales organization and not to Acorn Farms. The sales organization will write one check to Acorn Farms.
When Your Plants ArriveYour plants will be delivered to a central location on a predetermined date and time. Please call and schedule this time in advance as dates and times fill quickly. When your plants arrive they should be separated by a letter code for ease of inventory and distribution. The person in charge of the sales should inventory the delivery for accuracy. It is important to check the delivery as the selling organization is responsible for all plant discrepancies after the delivery.
Possible SubstitutionsDue to circumstances beyond our control we reserve the right to substitute varieties as needed. Every effort will be made to fill all orders. Any changes or substitution will be communicated to the chairperson of the sales organization for their approval.

What are the deadlines for a winter fundraiser?
What about delivery? How do we handle receiving the plants?
Can we customize the order form to suit our organization?Yes. We can add your organization's banner and logo to the form to reflect your organization's character.
How do we pay? What about our customers?Customer checks should all be made payable to the sales organization and not to Acorn Farms. The sale organizer will write one check to Acorn Farms at the time of your plant delivery.
We did not get the plants we ordered, now what?In the event of circumstances beyond our control, we reserve the right to substitute varieties as needed. Every effort will be made to fill all orders and any changes or substitutions will be communicated to the sale organizer.
How long can we hold the plants? What about cold?Time is of the essence when delivering your plant material. All plants will be watered the day of delivery and should be delivered to your customers as soon as possible. It is the responsibility of the fundraising organization to provide water to their plants to assure they do not dry out. Poinsettias are sensitive to cold so do not allow them to stand in an unheated environment. Do not leave them in an unheated car while shopping.
