GROWER NOTES: >
Aruncus 'Horatio' is commonly referred to as Horatio Goat's Beard. It is a herbaceous shrub-like perennial hybrid cross between Aruncus aesthusifolius and Aruncus dioicus designed to create an intermediate height plant that grows 2-3 feet tall with equal spread. Horatio features unique sparkling plumes of tiny creamy-colored flowers that splay out in a horizontal fashion. Star-shaped flowers contrast nicely with the bronze stems and greenish-gold foliage. Green fern-like leaves turn bright red in fall.
Horatio Goat's Beard thrives in partial sun in rich, fertile, moist, well-drained soils. It does not tolerate dry soils. It is ideal as a specimen plant along streams and ponds. Nice in water gardens!
