GROWER NOTES: >
Astilbe x arendsii 'Bridal Veil' is commonly referred to as Bridal Veil Astilbe or Bridal Veil False Spirea. It is a herbaceous perennial with a compact, clump-forming habit. It features lacy, pure white flowers in pyramidal flower plumes held on sturdy stems above deep green, fern-like foliage. The flower plumes turn a tan color to provide winter interest.
Bridal Veil Astilbe is easy to grow and pest free. It thrives in the shady spot of the garden in rich, organic, evenly moist, well-drained soils. It will not tolerate dry soil. It is ideal for informal woodland and cottage gardens, and is perfect for those special moonlit gardens.
Companion plants for Astilbe include: Rhododendron, Hosta, Ferns, Heuchera, Ligularia and Japanese and Siberian Iris.
